hover the mouse over the different pictures, and some of them will have captions as to what technique I used to take the picture, and how to do it!
Haven Hill was very close to my house, which was a big advantage. There were a lot of things to take pictures of, including mushrooms, flowers, landscapes (forests, lake, etc), birds, and more. It was a sunny day with no clouds in the sky, which was good for my pictures, since it brightened them up instead of having them look gloomy, like on a cloudy day. Something unique about Haven Hill is that we went on a nature walk with different trails we could go on and cross paths with, and other people were also on the paths, some taking pictures like me. I was also able to find unique subjects, like a monarch butterfly and bright orange mushrooms. In the future, I will need to work on my macro photography skills and making sure the pictures are not blurry. I also need to be able to move effectively through different settings so I don’t miss a good opportunity for a picture (For example, I wasn’t fast enough to get a picture of the monarch butterfly).
